NetBSD 6.1 

NetBSD is a free, secure, and highly portable UNIX-like Open Source operating system available for many platforms, from 64-bit AlphaServers and desktop systems to handheld and embedded devices. Its clean design and advanced features make it excellent in both production and research environments, and it is user-supported with complete source. Many applications are easily available through The NetBSD Packages Collection. (this is the i386cd version)

Updates: NetBSD 6.1  represents a selected subset of fixes deemed important for security or stability reasons, as well as new features and enhancements.

Major changes between 6.0 and 6.1: posix_spawn() - fix processes with attributes, resolve races between vget() and vrele() resulting in vget() returning dead vnodes, prevent crash when unsupported fd's are used with kevent, fix a bug where kmem_alloc() could be called from interrupt context, WAPBL - coalesce writes to the journal to speed up wapbl_flush() on raid5 by a factor of 3 to 4.

DragonFly BSD 3.4.1

DragonFly belongs to the same class of operating systems as other BSD-derived systems and Linux. It is based on the same UNIX ideals and APIs and shares ancestor code with other BSD operating systems. DragonFly provides an opportunity for the BSD base to grow in an entirely different direction from the one taken in the FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD series.

DragonFly includes many useful features that differentiate it from other operating systems in the same class.

SystemRescueCd version 3.5.1

 A Gentoo-based live CD designed for data rescue and disk management tasks.

SystemRescueCd is a Linux system rescue disk available as a bootable CD-ROM or USB stick for administrating or repairing your system and data after a crash. It aims to provide an easy way to carry out admin tasks on your computer, such as creating and editing the hard disk partitions. It comes with a lot of linux software such as system tools (parted, partimage, fstools, ...) and basic tools (editors, midnight commander, network tools). It can be used for both Linux and windows computers, and on desktops as well as servers. This rescue system requires no installation as it can be booted from a CD/DVD drive or USB stick, but it can be installed on the hard disk if you wish. The kernel supports all important file systems (ext2/ext3/ext4, reiserfs, btrfs, xfs, jfs, vfat, ntfs), as well as network filesystems (samba and nfs).

Ubuntu Studio is a variant of Ubuntu aimed at the GNU/Linux audio, video and graphic enthusiast as well as professional. The distribution provides a collection of open-source applications available for multimedia creation.

Whats New?
13.04 includes newer releases of Jack and PulseAudio, the bugs are no longer present. Jack has been fixed in all releases recently, but PulseAudio is still causing problems in 12.04 and 12.10, but the fix is under way. For this release, the menu has seen some improvement, including new icons and a improved functionality.

SparkyLinux 2.1.1 'MATE'
A lightweight, fast and simple Linux distribution disigned for both old and new computers featuring an updated Mate desktop. It has been built on Debian GNU/Linux testing. 

In the beginning of April, the MATE team published a new version of the MATE desktop environment, version 1.6. SparkyLinux 2.1 MATE edition featured MATE 1.4. It can be a little difficult to make a clear upgrade of MATE so it was decided to build new ISO images which provide full system updates.

Ubuntu 13.04-amd64

pfSense 2.0.3
pfSense is a m0n0wall-derived operating system. It uses Packet Filter, FreeBSD 6.x (or DragonFly BSD when ALTQ and CARP is finished), ALTQ for excellent packet queuing, and an integrated package management system for extending the environment with new features.
 pfSense 2.0.3 is a maintenance release with some bug and security fixes since the 2.0.2 release. 
(You can upgrade from any previous release to 2.0.3.)

Changes:Updated to OpenSSL 0.9.8y, fix XSS in IPsec log possible from users possessing shared key or valid certificate, fix obtaining DNS servers from PPP type WANs (PPP, PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP), fix captive portal redirect URL trimming, voucher sync fixes, captive portal pruning/locking fixes, fix problem with fastcgi crashing which caused CP issues on 2.0.2, clear the route for an OpenVPN endpoint IP when restarting the VPN, to avoid a situation where a learned route from OSPF or elsewhere could prevent an instance from restarting properly.

PCLinuxOS KDE  2012.08

PCLinuxOS is a user friendly Linux distribution with out-of-the-box support for many  graphic and sound cards, as well as other peripheral devices. The bootable live CD provides an easy to use graphical installer and the distribution sports a wide range of popular applications for the typical desktop user, including browser plugins and full multimedia playback. The system configuration tools include Synaptic for package management, Addlocale to add support to many languages, Getopenoffice to install the latest OpenOffice.org, and Mylivecd to create a customised live CD.

What's New? KDE 4.10.1; Linux kernel 3.2.18; the latest full set of NVIDIA drivers; PCLOS410 theme; Qt update notifier. KDE 2013.04 has all the additions from MiniME and was built to provide a general-purpose KDE desktop computing environment. SparkyLinux 2.1 'GameOver'

SparkyLinux is a lightweight, fast and simple Linux distribution designed for both old and new computers featuring customised Enlightenment and LXDE desktops. It has been built on the "testing" branch of Debian GNU/Linux.

Brand new, two-egged SparkyLinux 2.1 'GameOver'. It's the second, special edition of SparkyLinux 'GameOver' released for Easter 2013. It has been directly built on SparkyLinux 2.1 'Eris' and Debian 'Wheezy'.
Basics Included: All packages have been synchronized with the Debian testing repository as of 2013-03-24.  Linux kernel 3.2 i386 for old PCs and Linux kernel 3.8-liquorix (option) i686-pae for modern PCs designed for multimedia and gaming, glibc has been updated up to 2.17 from the experimental repository, Iceweasel, VLC, Leafpad, Pidgin, Transmission, XChat.

Linux Mint is a distribution whose goal is to provide a more complete out-of-the-box experience by including browser plugins, media codecs, support for DVD playback, Java and other components. It also adds a custom desktop and menus, several unique configuration tools, and a web-based package installation interface

LMDE in brief: Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) is a semi-rolling distribution based on Debian 'Testing'. It's available in both 32-bit and 64-bit variants as a live DVD with MATE or Cinnamon. The purpose of LMDE is to look identical to the main edition and to provide the same functionality while using Debian as a base.

FreeNAS™ 8.3.1

FreeNAS™ is an Open Source Storage Platform based on FreeBSD and supports sharing across Windows, Apple, and UNIX-like systems. FreeNAS™ 8 includes ZFS, which supports high storage capacities and integrates file systems and volume management into a single piece of software.

FreeNAS 8.3.1 is based on FreeBSD 8.3 with version 28 of the ZFS file system, and features volume based encryption for ZFS. There have been no major changes between 8.3.1-RC1 and RELEASE, mostly bug fixes and minor usability improvements to the GUI. Please familiarize yourself extensively with the encryption features of FreeNAS before using them. Doing the wrong thing can end up in a state where the volume is hidden behind very difficult-to-break AES 256 encryption. Many modern CPUs feature hardware support for encryption. If hardware support is available FreeNAS will use it.

GParted Live 0.15.0-1

GParted LiveCD is a business card-size live CD distribution with a single purpose - to provide tools for partitioning hard disks in an intuitive, graphical environment. The distribution uses X.Org, the light-weight Fluxbox window manager, and the latest 2.6 Linux kernel. GParted LiveCD runs on most x86 machines with a Pentium II or better.

Change Log: The biggest change with this release comes from enhancements to GParted that track live updates of command execution progress in the details section of the apply operations window.
Other items of note include: move operations are twice as fast as in prior versions; proper cancel support has been added; volume label length is now based on file system type; unallocated space is selected by default; Linux kernel updated to 3.2.39; based on the Debian Sid repository as of 2013-03-20.

IPFire 2.13

IPFire - An open source firewall solution
IPFire is a server distribution with intended to use as a firewall. It focuses on flexibility, and scales from small to middle sized business networks and home networks.
Along with this hardened, minimalist come lots of addons that can be installed with a simple click. That's what makes IPFire different from other firewall distributions: it is easy to configure for any task, and easy to administer once it's set up.

IPFire is the base of security for a local network. It has the power to segment the network based on their required security level. This makes it easy to create custom policies for each segment.
Part of this focus on security involves the fast and reliable distribution of security updates of the system and its components. Updates are digitally signed and encrypted, and can be automatically installed by the Pakfire, the package manager. Since IPFire is directly connected to the Internet it is a primary target for hackers and bots. Pakfire helps administrators feel certain they are running the latest security updates and bug fixes.

ArtistX 1.4

ArtistX 1.4 multimedia studio on a DVD is an Ubuntu 12.10-based live DVD that turns a common computer into a full multimedia production studio.

ArtistX 1.4 includes the 3.5 Linux kernel, GNOME 3.4 and about 2,500 free multimedia software packages, nearly everything that exists for the GNU/Linux operating system organized in the menu. Main features: based on Ubuntu 12.10 without Unity and with all updates; most of GNU/Linux multimedia packages and the very easy Ubiquity installer.

GhostBSD 3.0 lxde, a FreeBSD-based desktop operating system and live media with a LXDE desktop.
Many bugs have been fixed and many parts of the system updated, tweaked and fine-tuned. We now have two main branches of the system - one is based on GNOME desktop, the other on LXDE. (This download is the "LXDE" " amd64" version)

GhostBSD can also be used as a live CD and to rescue data.

What's New? There's an improved system installer, Openbox window manager and much more.
